You can take a trip every week and years later still not have seen everything. You will always discover something new. Andalusia and its capitol Seville is one of the most beautiful regions in Spain. Striking, exciting. The period of Moorish rule can still be seen everywhere in the architecture. The flamenco dance also originated in this region. The area has thankfully also remained agrarian. On the so-called ‘vegas', the irrigated plains between the mountain ranges, there are beautiful olive and almond groves, vineyards and orange orchards. Wine is made especially around Jerez de la Frontera (Sherry) and Melange. Both are definitely worth visiting.
Location: by the sea, beach and golf course
Driving around the Costa de la Luz you will notice that there is practically no industry. The air and the sea are clean. La Cigüeña is situated less than a kilometre from the Atlantic Ocean. Flamingos, pelicans, cormorants and storks (la cigüeña) flock to the bordering Coto Doñana. It is one of Europe's largest nature reserves and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You can still find eagles, deer and wild boars here. With such a place in your area, you can rest assured that industries will no longer be set up anywhere near your home. And this is reassuring. Another point of interest is the leaping dolphins in the ocean which love to show off their tricks.
